FJ40 Old Images

My FJ lived at Zion National Park in Utah, prior to moving to Santa Cruz in 1999. I bought it from a farmer after spotting the guy driving it on the street in Hurricane Utah. It was nearly bone stock, save for slightly wider steel wheels and a strange faded andcracked maroon red paint job over the original mustard yellow. Once he parked at the local post office I asked him if he wanted to sell it. He asked how much I wanted to pay. I put a fair offer forward, after having seen loads of cut up non-stock FJs. The farmer said "yep, that'll do". I picked up the FJ the next day and then started fixing the things that had been let go, and rattle-can painted it flat desert camo. The last picture in the series is enroute to Burning Man 1999, in a parking lot in Reno.
