FJ40 Body Work

My FJ40 had small rust spots at the front fender braces and under fender turn signal supports. Rather than purchase new fenders, I fabricated new steel to fit in all locations, matching the sections I cut out with a grinder. The new steel was tack welded with MIG, and then stitch welded to form a solid bead of new metal. The bead spots were ground down flush to the surface and the final patches were hammer and dollyed into the finished contour. Using a sheet metal brake, a new side step support bracket was fabricated in steel to replace the original that had rusted from being full of sand.
